Hello,
After a long weekend of good times with good friends playing music lots, I take some time to reflect here and ground myself in the direction of life sustenance. I share all these details in my life because I am learning the most from my closest family and friends that surround me, and I feel like the more personal lessons we can acquire, the faster the evolution can take place to where this is all going. Here goes...
I am very close to acquiring the anticipated electric bike for touring and city work/fun events. More on that soon. As for the life improvement plan with the help yourself method and not relying on too many 3rd parties, etc. - I learned to sow a bit better. My next project is to fix my guitar case, pants, and possibly make a pair of pants for my new capoeta classes that I hope to keep up with. Dance and Karate together; kicking my ass so far but loving it. I also have learned to cook many dishes. I'm working in the garden as much as I can for a post yoga workout, as well as finding ways to harvest naturally growing edibles.
It is so easy to get consumed by all these mini-tasks and get lost in them all, finding no time for yourself and Music. So, with that said, I am making sure that I check every day how I am doing; my spirit and soul; having a little convo to make sure I'm doing the things I truly want to.
My tasks:
+practice music - SYP, Renee Wilson, and JA band project (Djiven - band name?)
Practice pedals and new ideas of sound quality improvement
+promote upcoming shows (March 13th Beale, March 19th Pier 23, March 27 Cafe Coda)
+book shows and bike music plans (Spain - September, Gold Country Bike Tour May)
+Sow pants and guitar cases
+Capoeta, Garden, and start learning pieces of music to teach at the all boys music school in SF later in March.
There is an event coming up March 20th that deals with water reclamation. Please come if you can and/or pass the word around to others. Out of all the events to come to, I feel the most strong about ones that have messages such as this one. The simple concept of grey water re-use and other water conservation techniques can transform the world into what it used to be; an abundantly rich resource for true spirit growth.
Thanks for coming down to the Bay Area Tree, Ivan, and Issac. I had a great time playing music with you all at the Elbo Room and Beale Street bar.
